How do I fly with my Athlee camera?

The Athlee Camera fully complies with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations for transporting lithium batteries. When flying with your camera, you have two options:

  • Check the camera in as baggage
  • Bring the camera as carry-on baggage

Important Information

Airport staff may not always be familiar with the specific rules for transporting lithium batteries. If you encounter questions, you can provide the following details:

  1. The Athlee camera is classified as a Portable Electronic Device (PED). It meets the requirements for lithium-ion batteries, as its battery capacity is 70.56 Wh. The battery is built into the camera and cannot be removed.
  2. The Athlee camera complies with IATA’s Dangerous Goods Regulations, TABLE 2.3.A, “Provisions for Dangerous Goods Carried by Passengers or Crew” (Subsection 2.3).

IATA Regulations Summary

Lithium Batteries: Portable electronic devices (PED) containing lithium-ion cells or batteries, including cameras, must comply with the following rules:

- Battery Capacity: Must not exceed 100 Wh.

- Checked Baggage: Devices must be completely switched off and protected from damage.

- Maximum Devices per Person: 15 PED.
