You don’t have to do all your annotations during practice. The Athlee app also lets you open previously recorded videos from your iPad and analyze them later.

How to Open a Previously Recorded Video

  1. In the Athlee app, go to the Annotation menu.
  2. From there, navigate to your iPad’s iOS Photos library.
  3. Select the video you want to analyze.

How to Annotate

Once the video is opened in the annotation panel, you can use the same tools as during live practice:

  • Slow motion
  • Frame-by-frame scrubbing
  • Drawing tools, circles, angles
  • Timers
  • Voiceover and annotations (recorded as one file)

This allows you to take recordings from practice and review them in detail afterwards — for example, at home, in meetings, or after the swimmers have left the pool.

Important Notes
  • The video file must be available in the local iOS Photos library on the iPad.
  • If the video is only stored in the cloud, the iPad must have internet access to download it before you can use it in the annotation menu.
